SOLUDO MAKES HISTORY EMBARKS ON A BOAT TRIP TO OLUMBANASA, ANAMBRA WEST, BRINGS HOPE FOR THE POOR AND DOWNTRODDEN By Christian ABURIME The morning of Saturday, 25, November, 2023, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo decided to pay a trip to Olumbanasa, a community hidden in Anambra West Council Area of Anambra State. One striking thing about the trip was the fact that Governor Soludo could have opted to embark on the trip by helicopter, like many people before him. No! SOLUDO COMMENDS LATE CHINWOKE MBADINUJU’S EFFORTS AS FORMER GOVERNOR, SAYS HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN By Christian ABURIME Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has paid his respects to the former State Governor, late Dr. Chinwoke Clement Mbadinuju (Odera), who passed away at the age of 77. Governor Soludo paid the eulogies when he attended the State Commendation Ceremony for Dr. Mbadinuju at the International Convention Centre in Awka. In his speech, he thanked everyone for sacrificing their time to honour Odera's legacy. SOLUDO PRESENTS N410 BILLION NAIRA APPROPRIATION BUDGET FOR 2024 TO ANAMBRA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY By Christian ABURIME Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has presented a N410,132, 225, 272 budget for the 2024 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly.  The budget, which is 57.8% higher than the 2023 budget, is focused on infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. Key highlights of the budget include; a N96.2 billion allocation for recurrent expenditure, accounting for 23.46% of the total budget, N313.9 billion allocation for capital expenditure, accounting for 76.54% of the total budget. There are significant increases in allocations for key sectors, such as Administration (50.85%), Economy (103.43%), Judiciary (72.9%), Social Sector (60.24%), Education (140.88%), and Health (169.55%).
