In a bid to restore public confidence and verify facts surrounding recent online allegations, the President General of the Anambra State Towns Council, Youth Wing (ASTUC Youth), Comr. Ken Okoli  formerly known as ASATU Youth, led a high-powered delegation on a one-day facility tour of the Tummy Tummy Noodles production plant in Nnewi North on Friday, July 25, 2025.


This tour followed a viral video circulating online that falsely alleged the shutdown of the Tummy Tummy facility due to claims of substandard products. The video, allegedly linked to a blocked supply contract to a school in Delta State back in 2023, has since generated concern among consumers and stakeholders.

During the visit, the Managing Director of Tummy Tummy Noodles, Chief Chika Emenike, through the General Manager, Mr. Chijioke Anumoka, warmly received the youth delegation and expressed deep appreciation for their proactive initiative to verify the facts firsthand. He categorically debunked the claims, stating that since its inception, Tummy Tummy has *never shut down operations for a single day*. With over 1,000 staff working in shifts around the clock, the company remains committed to delivering high-quality food products to the Nigerian market. He urged the public to disregard the malicious video and continue supporting the brand.

Comr. Ken Okoli, visibly impressed by the scale and efficiency of the production process, commended the company for its continued investment in Anambra State. He noted that Tummy Tummy’s choice of Nnewi as its manufacturing base aligns with the *“Ease of Doing Business”* agenda championed by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo  CFR.



He further assured the management that the youth of Anambra will henceforth act as ambassadors and defenders of the brand's integrity. He promised to collaborate with the company in running some of the youth programmes in the 179 communities. Comrade Ken called on the general public to *continue consuming Tummy Tummy noodles with confidence*, reiterating that the ASTUC Youth Wing will not allow the reputation of any legitimate business operating in Anambra State to be tarnished by falsehoods.

The visit ended with renewed optimism and mutual understanding between the youth body and the management of Tummy Tummy Noodles, marking a significant step in safeguarding local investments and promoting youth-led advocacy for truth and economic growth.


After the facility tour, the company served them with Tummy Tummy Noodles as a delicious meal to the satisfaction of the team. Those who accompanied Mr President for the visit are Comr.
