PETER UNIVERSITY ACHINA/ONNEH HOLDS FIRST ORIENTATION FOR PIONEER STUDENTS

Peter University Achina/Onneh, a Catholic University recently built by the Catholic Dioceses of Awka and Ekwulobia to train students in sound morals and academics, has earlier this month of October commenced its academic program and in the same vein, organized an Orientation Program for its pioneer students in preparation for the commencement of lectures in their different faculties.

The Orientation Program themed “Developing the Total Man” took place from October 18th to October 20th, 2023 at the Faculty of Law Auditorium of the University and featured Lectures from experts in different fields of learning educating the fresh men and women on “The Need to Maintain Good Academic Standing at All Times”, “The University Academic Regulations and Academic Structure “, Ethics, Morals and Integrity on campus” among others.

Thai lady arrested at Lagos airport with boxes of illicit drug consignments Attempt by a 24-year-old Thai lady, Ms. Pattaphi Wimonnat, to smuggle 43 parcels of Canadian Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis, weighing 46.60 kilograms into Nigeria through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja Lagos has been thwarted by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, who arrested her after discovering the illicit consignment in her boxes. A statement from Femi Babafemi, spokesperson of the NDLEA, says the suspect who confessed to being a hired drug trafficker was arrested on Thursday 20th February 2025 during the inward clearance of passengers on Qatar Airways flight from Thailand via Doha, Qatar at the arrival hall, terminal 2 of the Lagos airport.
